It is usual for deterioration of wood power poles (see Wood Power Pole Rot photo at left), to occur at ground level and for the weakened section to have a relatively short length.Although replacement of these poles has been the traditional option, a far less expensive and more convenient alternative is to bridge the short deteriorated section with a uniquely designed and patented steel beam called a Powerbeam. This system is installed quickly and cheaply, at around one third of traditional replacement costs and without interruption to power supplies. |
